Withdrawal From Class:

A student assumes full responsibility for completing each course in which he or she has registered. If a student wishes to withdraw from an 8-week course, it is the student's responsibility to do so utilizing the online drop form or MyCCC and according to policy outlined below. A list of drop/withdrawal deadlines may be located at http://military.coastline.edu/general/dates.cfm

  1. A refund will apply for students who submit a drop request on or before the Friday of the first week of the class. Withdrawals made after this date still obligate the student to all tuition costs.
     
  2. No transcript entry will be made for students who submit their drop request prior to the first 30% of the class; however, no refund will apply after the first Friday.
     
  3. A grade of “W” shall be entered on the transcript for students who submit their drop request after the first 30% of the class, and prior to 75% of the class.
     
  4. Failure to drop prior to 75% of the class may result in the instructor issuing a grade of “F.”

Percentages are based on the number of days in the session; holidays are exempt from the calculation. Exact drop/withdrawal dates for courses in which a student is enrolled may be found at the Academic Calendar and on the student’s “Student Class Program (Web Schedule Bill)”. A student can obtain their Web Schedule Bill by visiting the CCC Military Student Tab in MyCCC and selecting the “Student Class Program (Web Schedule Bill)” link.
