New A.S. in Cybersecurity

Effective Fall 2019, the Associate in Science Computer Networking: Cyber Security will no longer be available.  It has been replaced with the Associate in Science Cybersecurity  program.

·         The new Associate in Science Cybersecurity program is a 21-unit program that better aligns with the knowledge units of the National Security Administration Centers of Academic Excellence (NSA CAE).

o   Students that have already obtained an official education plan in Associate in Science Computer Networking: Cyber Security are unaffected by this change

§  We will honor the official education plan

§  Complete the classes on your official plan and apply for graduation for the retired degree

o   Students that do not yet have an official education plan that are seeking to pursue the older Associate in Science Computer Networking: Cyber Security program must request the degree by August 25, 2019.  The new program will be the only Cybersecurity degree available to select after August 25th

§  The submission of an official Joint Service Transcript, and Coastline enrollment is still required for the request for an Official Education Plan to be processed.
