What is it?
Five $1000 scholarships are available each year for severely injured
service members and their spouses to use in their academic pursuits at
Coastline Community College.
Who is
eligible?
Any service member who has been severely injured while in the line of duty
as well as his/her spouse is eligible for this scholarship. If the applicant is a current Coastline student, he or she must be in good academic standing. Recipients can be awarded this scholarship a maximum of two times per school year (July - June) but are required to reapply if requesting additional funds; second awards are not guaranteed.

There are five
eight-week sessions each year, two in the spring, one in the summer, and
two in the fall. Applications will be reviewed December 15, February 15, April 15, July 15 and September 15 of each year. Scholarship recipients will
be notified two weeks after the submission deadline. Scholarship funds may be used for Coastline
classes and course materials in the next term, or in subsequent terms.
What are the
selection criteria?
Scholarship recipients shall be selected primarily on the financial need
of the applicant. Other considerations will include the content and quality of the application essay.
